Jeric Hunter
I am Jeric Hunter a man who is doing his best to work hard and make his family and himself proud. My current state of mind is in a good place, I am very happy and extremely motivated. I had recently burned out because of so much work on my plate which led to me giving up social media and my phone completely for a little bit but now I am back and my mind is free. My most obvious characteristic is my humor, I am a very funny person I like to crack jokes and lighten up the mood. The trait I deplore the most in myself is how quick I am to do for others when I should not. Or there are times when I allow things slide because I can be too nice at times. A trait that I deplore the most in others is pretentiousness, when people behave in that manner it can create a very negative and toxic space for those who are only trying to better themselves. My greatest fear is dying without doing the best I can to take care of those that I love. I feel that hope is the most overrated virtue because instead of hoping you could be doing. The phrase that I most over-use is definitely “you hate to see it” it is something I say when I see an unfortunate event I usually use this to lighten the mood or crack a joke. If there is one thing I could change about myself it would be my willingness to do so much for others who don’t deserve it.
My most treasured possession is my high school diploma it may not mean much to others but I am the only of my 4 siblings to have one, it was a great feeling to make my mother proud especially. My greatest extravagance is anything tech related, I always try to get the best tech possible no matter the category, it’s a problem that won’t be solved. My favorite occupation is playing video games, I enjoy doing so on a somewhat regular basis with all those who are close to me, it brings me great joy. My greatest achievement is being a first generational student who is also in his senior year in college setting himself up for success. My favorite journey has been my transition from Michigan State to Make School. In this short time I have learned so much that I never would have if I had stayed at Michigan State. I am very happy with my decision and I feel it every single day.
A historical figure that I identify the most with is invalid because I don’t feel that there is one. The living person that I admire is my father, he is a man who never had a father growing up but he did his part to break the cycle and to always be in his kids’ life supporting them always. My dad has also been the greatest influence to me simply because of his willingness to put the work in. I value loyalty in my friends more than anything. Loyalty is the most important thing you can have in any relationship. Someone could love you and still not be loyal to you as sad as that sounds. My motto is that with hard work you can achieve anything, its just up to you to go get it so go get it.
I would say that I was the happiest in 2016 I was playing all the funnest games during that summer and the music coming out around then was just absolutely sensational.
